Transitional Housing Program

The Bethel House Transitional Housing Program utilizes seven homes in the city of Whitewater as temporary housing for families. All participants in this program are required to actively participate in an extensive case management program to address the issues that led to their homelessness and help provide needed support to ensure a level of financial stability by their completion of the program.

All families are required to pay 30% of their monthly income to Bethel House as a "program fee." Those funds are kept in a savings account and returned to the family when they leave the program. All utilities and maintenance for the homes are fully covered by Bethel House.

Who is Eligible?
Our Transitional Housing Program serves families with children under age 18 who are in their care at least 50% of the time. Families must live or work within the Whitewater Unified School District area and/or have a strong connection to the Whitewater community.

Applicants with felonies, open legal cases, or pets they are not able to rehome, are not eligible to apply.

All applicants are required to meet in-person with Bethel House staff to complete the application and review the program agreement.

All Transitional Housing families are required to sign and abide by the Bethel House Program Agreement.
